I bet you’re all curious as to how your mugs are made, well I can tell you how we apply the designs.
The design and applying of the design is an integral part to the making of our mugs. I’m not sure a lot of people realise but the application is all done by hand!
The decoration is printed on special paper using ceramic colours; this paper allows the decoration to slide off in water and be applied to the mug. Our team of lithographers will then press the decoration on to the mug with a squeegee and all of the water will be removed. Once the decoration has been meticulously applied and checked, the mug is then fired in a kiln at 900 degrees celsius and is ready to be sent to all you.
